Dust collectors can support grinding, cutting, mixing, conveying, crushing, screening, brick and ceramic production, agricultural handling and general fabrication. A system may include source hoods, branch ducts, a main header, cyclone or filter equipment, fan connections, access doors and discharge handling. We can help connect extraction to existing machinery or plan a new arrangement where the process layout is being changed.
Materials and construction
Collector construction is selected around abrasion, temperature, corrosion and the dust being handled. Mild steel is common for structural bodies and general dry dust service, while lining, wear plates or stainless components may be appropriate in more demanding conditions. Filter access, cleaning method, hopper geometry and discharge clearance matter as much as the shell itself because poor maintenance access quickly reduces performance.
How we work
We first map the dust sources and the route available for ducts, fan, collector and discharge. From there, the team can discuss approximate airflow, branch balancing, access, support and safe operation. Fabrication follows the agreed arrangement, with attention to sealing, stiffening, flange alignment and service doors. Existing photographs, machine dimensions and a rough floor plan make an enquiry much easier to assess.
Planning your requirement
Before selecting equipment, record the dust type, expected load, moisture, temperature, number of pickup points and the distance between source and collector. Also check whether recovered material is reusable and whether the system needs spark control, isolation or special filtration.
